Grass Verge Damage

The grass verges in Dore are being damaged as a result of cars and vans parking on the verges. This is eroding the grass and is unsightly. What can we do to encourage drivers to park in a more responsible manner?

  1. As my preferred route from home to the village centre is via Drury Lane and Townhead I very much agree with this comment as the green at this junction is regularly used as a carpark. When one recalls that DVS planted daffodil bulbs in this green one's irritation increases.
Perhaps the solution is close to hand. As there are no pavements on the upper half of Drury Lane some residents have placed large stones on their grass verges to prevent parking on them. Perhaps DVS should consider doing the same?

  2. I would guess placing large stones on the grass verges is against the law.
